Happy birthday

For me! (laughs)

Today is my birthday, and like every year, I usually reflect on what I've learned in the past year. Until today, I hadn't quite figured it out, but when I woke up I was feeling a bit depressed and discouraged, remembering all the goals I failed to achieve and how much I wanted to have accomplished by now. I've always loved celebrating birthdays; no one ever had an excuse to say they didn't remember, and I made sure everyone knew.

Today was different. I remembered every day and didn't tell anyone. So, reflecting on what I've learned, it came to mind: celebrate life. Celebrate another day, regardless of the date or occasion, because waking up every day is a miracle, and being gifted by God to live another day is more than important to celebrate.

Therefore, if you're also celebrating your birthday today, congratulations! I hope you celebrated a lot today, and if today isn't your birthday, celebrate life anyway. I wish you a heart open to the gentle voice of the Lord Jesus, that you have eyes open to see the beauties of life and enjoy all that it offers. Don't be intimidated by adversity or the malice of others; please don't let it turn your light into darkness. I know how difficult it is; I've been through that phase. It takes courage and resilience to keep our souls from becoming gray with so much filth that affects us. Well, that was my lesson: celebrate life in any way!
